Woo hoo!

Yes, indeedy, I won my court case! I got the amount I asked for, my court costs AND interest. If they don’t pay by this time next month, I go back to court and they can be arrested for non-payment. Wow. I kinda figured I’d win but didn’t want to be overconfident, ya know?

Considering that when I told them I’d take them to court, the snotty kid told me I’d “never win” so I feel more than satisfied.

Now I need to call my contractor so he can come in and begin work on fixing things, plus I have other things for him to do around here.

    Yay! Glad you got that resolved…and hopefully you’ll
    get your money soon.

    I had my court case a couple of weeks ago & also won.
    But I’ll probably never see the money…he’ll be in jail too
    long & I doubt he’ll ever be “gainfully” employed where
    his wages could be garnished.

    Well, the forms say that they have until a certain date to pay me, and if not, I notify the court and I already have a payment review court date in February if I’m not paid. If not, then it goes further and I can have a sheriff serve them and have them arrested.

    A lot of vindication in my mind as the twit was just too rude and snotty to me. When I told him on the phone I’d see him in court, he said “yeah, right, like you’d win” and I said “we’ll see I guess” and he said “I’ll see you in few years” and slammed down the phone.
