Today we finalized things and he's going to a local convalescent home. I'm a little uncomfortable with him going there, only because I've had 2 grandmothers there and both died there. One lived there for 8 years and one, 5 years. He'll have a semi-private room and share his room with one guy. I don't know how this will work out as my father is deaf, and can't listen to television unless it's blaring or unless he wears his headphones. I don't think he has a small TV in his cellar, though he says he does, but if he does it's so old it's probably got tubes. Monday I'll go to the store and pick him up something and hopefully it will have headphone capability. Right now he can't really do much other than lie down, as he can't raise himself up to sit up and watch TV.

Neck is still pretty sore, but I changed pillows and it helped a little. I have those expensive foam pillows ($100 each) but sometimes you have to switch them out.

Haven't used BOB in a long time, kinda bored with him already.

Hey....glad to hear dad is improving.
My dad was in one of those homes with a bad back. They had him go there for rehab instead of an operation.
Hopefully your dad gets to move around and get out of bed over there.

Hope your neck gets better. I hate those pains in teh neck. hehehehe
Maybe BOB can help you with the pain in the neck????
