What a lousy day

No snow, just a couple of flakes and that was it, so that was good. But mom called this morning to tell me the ambulance was taking dad to the hospital to be admitted. I’m not even sure what’s wrong. I know he can barely walk due to his hip, but they doubt he can take surgery at this point as his heart is too weak. So much is wrong I can’t even begin to figure out what they can do at this point for him.
Came home and found a website broken … and it could have been that way for months. So, I decided I needed to go over every site I have, one by one, and make sure things work right. Holy crap, I must have deleted 20 gigs of garbage from one of my servers alone. It took about 4 minutes for my trash bin to empty it was so full of stuff I deleted. I have a huge list of sites to redo and I’m still only up to the W’s at this point. I did shut down a number of sites by simply redirecting them elsewhere.
Still don’t have the design for my clothing site so Yank Bird has a slight reprieve!
Made some delicious chicken tonight — on top of the stove. You know I never use it and have never used my oven in the 5 years I’ve had the stove. Usually I can’t cook on top as the damned smoke detectors go off. I have 2 outside the kitchen, but one I killed last year when it would not shut up. Well, this weekend I had ribs in the rotisserie and it would not shut up, so I grabbed the hammer, a stepladder and that was the end of that. So, until I put up the new one this weekend, I can cook anything I want on high heat and not worry about the smoke detector going off!! Well, I have to be a little easy on it or the others will go off.
Have y’all been enjoying the free photo of the day?
