We’re over the hump

Are you glad we’re over the hump? Just 2 days left until the weekend, though Friday we’re having a major ‘Noreaster with significant rainfall. Better than snow, I guess, but we had 2-3″ of snow this week already.

Called mom tonight to see how dad did his first full day home and she said he’s already been to the ER. Seems she went to take him to the doctor appointment he had and he insisted on not using his walker, even though the therapist says he MUST use it as his leg isn’t stable. Mr. I’m-Stubborn walked without it (actually tried to walk to the driver’s side of the car since he claimed he’d drive) and he fell in the street and hit his hip, knee (again) and head. Mom went over to him, he was out cold, someone driving by called 911 and they took him to the ER but didn’t keep him. Nothing broken but they say tomorrow he will be very bruised and very, very sore.

Still have one site left to move, was about to change things but found one error so am waiting for someone to fix it, then I can finish up. I also made major changes to the server today. Best part of this move was I lost about 35,000 spam emails per day. I killed all the overflow emails to my main email account so went from 5,000 spams a day to less than a dozen. Much better filtering system, that’s for sure.

Just started watching American Idol and my votes for the two top women tonight are Lakisha and Melinda and the two to be voted off are Alaina and Antonella, though that chick who did a Whitney Houston song really sucked.

Remember, tell me if any of my sites are broken. Woke up to an email from someone telling me about a broken site which had been broken for a week.

Haven’t been sleeping well for two weeks but I think it’s the stress of moving the sites and my father. Today I ended up taking a 10 minute nap that lasted over an hour, right before dinner. I swear I went to just lie down for 10 minutes and it felt like that’s all it was, but all of a sudden it was 4:50 pm!

Oh yeah, the Firebird guy called me, his other buyer backed out so if I still want it for $7k, it’s mine. Without photos of the 2 bolts in the firewall, no way. My Firebird guy told me what to check and what to look for, and I won’t compromise and end up with something needing a lot of work. I just don’t want the responsibility of another car right now, so I think things worked out for the best when he said he sold it to someone else and I decided against it. But, if you want a rust-free 1967 Firebird with a turbo 400 automatic totally redone for $7k — and only $1k to ship (he made a deal with someone for me) …..
