Hell of a storm last night, literally 2 hours of severe thunderstorms. Kept me up for quite a while, too. The humidity broke for today so you had to expect the storms. It will be back tomorrow, though. It was 90 yesterday but it wasn’t that bad to me. Sure, it was hot, but I didn’t feel the humidity as I usually do. Humidity affects me much more than heat. I remember last summer one day my ex and I went to some dumb antique shops on a day when there was almost 100% humidity and I felt so sick that night. I get very sick from that high humidity and prefer to stay in the air conditioned house.

I talked to the truck guy last night and after a lot of soul searching, I will not be going on a date with him. He’s been married 3 times and I don’t want to date someone who has been in 3 very long-term relationships that didn’t work out. Been there, done that. He also has kids and grandkids (he’s actually older than I am) and I just don’t want to deal with that at my age. I’d rather be alone. He understood as I was honest with him about my feelings. He’ll still keep looking for a truck for me and we’re going to have lunch at the next car show in his area in a few weeks.

And, admittedly, a small part of me wondered what he’d feel about me being so hairy ….

Did see a nice truck yesterday. I went to go out in the afternoon and it was parked right in front of my house! The guy was looking at the tire, so I said “hey, nice truck” and we talked. I told him I wanted one just like it, only I wanted one from the 50’s and his was a 1963, and his was the long bed and I want short bed. He also has a 1956 Chevy which I didn’t get to see, of course.

Had an odd experience yesterday at Dunkin Donuts — ordered my usual small decaf iced coffee, cream, 2 Splenda (not too light) and picked it up. Drove off, took a sip and it was warm. They put NO ice in it!! I drove around, went back, walked in this time and told them and they were surprised anyone would serve an ICED coffee with NO ice!

Should be getting the Ember tape today or tomorrow and hopefully this time it was done right.

2 hour So You Think You Can Dance tonight …. so I’m scrambling to get as much work done as possible so I can watch it. Just finished updating the Hair To Stay website and then am working on another one, not dealing with hairy women …. sorry!
