Snow …

Yep, snow and sleet right now and it’s pretty slippery out. Hail as well, and the roads are becoming slicker and slicker.
My folks both had doctor appointments today, and with the weather mom was panicking, so I offered to drive them to the doctor. I parked in their driveway so that dad would be able to get into my car easily. But, it’s snowing …. and yeah, you know what’s coming. He went down the first step holding onto the bannister, but his leg could not hold him and he began to fall. I grabbed his arm with all my strength (and I have pretty muscular arms) but could not pull up 200 lbs of dead weight and he could not support himself to raise himself up. So, I told him to “sit down” on the snowy step and he dropped about a foot. Mom and I then managed to get him down the stairs somehow and into the car. The doctor’s office has a wheelchair ramp so he was able to use his walker and get in easily.
Getting him back into the car after the appointment was not as bad, but he can’t use his legs to get into the car, and he’s not using upper body strength, so I had to grab his arm and literally pull his entire dead weight into the car, and he fell against me and damn, he’s heavy. I was just glad to get him home safe and sound. I left and felt really, really drained.
It’s pretty damned scary to be in a situation like that and it’s put me into a funk. Well, I was kinda blue before that, but now I just feel weepy and am not fully sure why I’m feeling this way. Lots of stuff going on in my personal life, some legal matters not being resolved, some business issues, etc. I guess it finally just got to me today.
In the process of moving my last site and hope to have it done by Monday. This weekend I don’t really have plans other than to try to stay warm, maybe watch Little Miss Sunshine again, update some sites and browse online for some more Pontiac/Firebird books. Yeah, I still want that car, but he’s still not giving me the pics I want.
I’m thinking of buying a classic for a daily driver I’d use daily but not when it snowed/salt on the road. Something that isn’t a whole lot of money, doesn’t need a restoration, but can be used all the time in the winter but for storm days. I know the insurance will be much much higher but that’s the breaks. I’m hoping to get into on a barn find or be one of those lucky people who can find a classic for a few grand because so-and-so wants to get rid of it fast. I won’t start looking until the summer, I want to get this newest one on the road first so I’m not dealing with too much at once.
Can someone tell me why a man would pretend to be a hairy woman? Let me explain. I have this so-called new model who claims to be hairy and wants to model. She’ll give an email but no phone number. She claims to have shaved her pits but says that within a week or two she will have lush growth. Yeah, I know it’s bullshit. I just wonder what the angle is if it’s a guy pretending to be female …
