How’s your weekend been?

Mine has been pretty quiet and quite chilly.
Mine began by getting glass in my foot. Thursday night I heard something crash in the house, but wasn’t sure if it was real or a dream. 6 am Friday I’m headed to the bathroom and as I step by the tub, I stepped on something sharp and hurt my big toe. I limped over to the toilet to sit down and check and saw a piece of white ceramic sticking out of my toe. I put on the light and removed it, then saw one of the ceramic sandals had fallen from the wall during the night (the crash) and broke into about 30 pieces. It must have hit the tile on the walls because I have carpeting which should have cushioned the fall. Not sure why it fell, the nail is still in the wall, but I think maybe the hook on the back came away from the sandal itself.
Weekend began with Eddie finally calling though we didn’t have enough time to catch up on everything. I had to run to take mom to the doctor and no, she does not have pre-cancerous growths, that moronic doctor was incorrect. What she has is totally benign but they do have to keep watching it. They also have her going in for a genetic study as they feel she could have a cancer gene they have identified. They suggested I have the study but I’m not spending all that money just to worry I may or may not get cancer. I don’t like needles!
Chilly weekend, I froze last night with one window open and no blanket. Still am not sleeping well and hope to take a nap later on.
After talking to Eddie I went through a period of self-analysis, as usual, since we talk about so much stuff. I glossed over the past as it’s just that, the past, and not worth dwelling on. I realized I’m in a good place in my life right now and am pretty happy, surprisingly
