Weekend is ending on a sour note as there are 35 mph winds and the rain is due. It was chilly but sunny today but now it’s dark, dank, cold and windy as hell. I wish the rain would just go away for a while.

Did a lot around the house this weekend, got almost everything I wanted done. Now I’m winding up the work week, updated Hair To Stay with some new stuff today and will add a bit more if I can tonight.

Took a nice bubble bath this morning and when I got out of the tub, it seemed too quiet. I had 2 televisions on as usual (office and living room) and there was no noise. So, naked and wet I ran out to check and sure enough, no power. What’s really odd is only one UPS kicked in, on another machine. This one, for some reason, didn’t, so maybe the battery is dead/dying. After about 10 minutes, though, the power came back on. No clue what happened — before I could call the electric company (had to dry off and stuff) the power was back.

Have to take mom in for her biopsy very early tomorrow morning and I’m nervous as hell, so can only imagine how she feels. Just listening to the procedure sent chills up my spine.
