Have you bought the new breakfast sandwich machine?

So, I bought one.
Now, I don’t really cook, and I have just a toaster oven. I use my oven for storage. My toaster oven is one of those under-the-counter models, but Black & Decker has discontinued those, and mine only toasts on the bottom, not the top element. So I bought a separate toaster, in, red, to match the kitchen. I liked it but it wasn’t the same.
I opened the new box last night and read the instructions carefully. This morning I used it for the first time and have to say it is the BEST applicance I own next to my microwave oven!
You put the toast in the toaster part (I used an English muffin) and then put some water in the heating tray. Then I cracked an egg into the poaching tray. You can put meats to be warmed up on the warming tray if you want (I didn’t). Then you put on the cover and push a button and it automatically cooks the egg to the desired stage (soft, medium or firm) and the toast comes out at the EXACT time the egg is done! Instant breakfast sandwich!!
Cleanup was a breeze — only had to wash the poaching tray since it had the residue of non-stick spray and the egg. The rest were simply rinsed out. It’s no muss, no fuss and takes about 5 minutes to make a full breakfast. You can use it with “fake” egg, too, and I’m going to try that tomorrow morning!
If you don’t have one of these, I suggest you look into it. It’s WELL worth the price! Click below to get it at Amazon for under $40 — I paid $59.99 at Filene’s.
