Have a safe holiday weekend

Mine began great, mom went to the doctor and called to say that technically she doesn’t have cancer again. What she has is pre-cancerous so she’ll need mammograms and biopsies every 3 months as well as seeing a surgeon next week. She did feel a lot better as she really wasn’t looking forward to a third round of breast cancer.
Yesterday morning I went to get my car out of the garage and the remote didn’t work. So, I figure the battery died, so I get out and open the door and try to open it by pushing the button, and the mechanism moves but the door doesn’t open. So, I try to do the manual thing and that won’t work either. I called the garage door guys and what do they tell me? They will “try” to be here on Friday but it may not be until Tuesday. Yeah, right. I went into bitch mode and explained that I needed my car NOW. My other car is at the body shop where it will most likely spend the majority of its life. 5 pm last night they showed up on an emergency service call. The did open it for me so I could get the car out and park it in the driveway, and they did a temporary fix and just came back tonight and did the permanent fix. One guy had a goatee lol. I won’t know if it’s working until I have another power failure, which I had this week, and that’s how I found out one of my UPS’ was bad.
Do you have plans for the holiday weekend? I have a lot of work to do but that’s about it. Anyone who knows me knows I despise holidays and treat it just like another day.
Major rain and thunderstorms due any minute.
