Doctor’s comments on hairy legs
21 February 2006 posted in Hairy Women, Life In General
I had to go to the dermatologist today because I burned my calf pretty badly and needed something to take away the pain and soothe it. It never even occurred to me that I don’t shave my legs, so I never worried about it.
So, she looks at my leg and makes a comment, “oh, you don’t shave your legs” and I said “nope, no reason to” and she just looked at me.
I won’t be going back to this doctor, it was my second time seeing her (last time was for the thumbnail) and I just don’t like her entire attitude. When I explain to her I simply burned my leg, I explain how it happened, etc, she then says she feels something more severe is going on, I could have shingles, and burns like I have don’t happen.
I got a bit perturbed and reiterated my story of what happened, how it happened, and why, and that it was simply a burn and not anything else.
She really didn’t appreciate me expressing a differing opinion but did give me a prescription for a cream with aloe that will prevent infection.
