I am so damned frisky!

Monday, October 23rd, 2006

I’ve been borderline frisky all day and then read an email from someone that made me much more frisky, then I just saw a photo of the perfect goatee and that’s it, I’m downright horny as hell!!

Quiet day for the most part. Saw an awesome 1972ish Buick SS today, was definitely a race car by the smell of it. Was only 58 degrees today so I fear my classic car sightings are going to be few and far between. Did see that Firebird again, the white one I want, and tomorrow I may have the chutzpah to ring their bell and ask the price on it!

I have a stiff neck

Thursday, October 19th, 2006

Been bothering me for 2 nights. I plan to change pillows tonight and see if that helps.

Went to order my body mounts today but the guy wasn’t there, so guess it will be next week. Disappointed me to say the least. Did see a gorgeous 1969 Chevelle, black with grey stripes, being worked on. The owner had a little body damage being fixed. The motor was a 600 I was told — DAMN I wanted to hear them start it up!!

How are you doing on the daily trivia game? I got 10 out of 10 today!

Bought a new UPS today for my new laptop and dropped it on my foot. This thing weighs about 25 lbs. Yes, I have a bruised foot — anyone want to kiss it and make it better?! I had spicy Garlic Chicken for lunch to help it heal!

Still waiting to hear from TMW about the Ember tape. Yeah, yeah, just have patience!

Hairy trivia game

Wednesday, October 18th, 2006

Ok, so it’s not hairy trivia per se, but is the trivia game of the hairy chat board! Hairy Trivia is a fun game you can play daily and earn points, and at the end of each week those with the top 3 points will win prizes …. well, you will earn points at the hairy chat board and you can turn those in for free hairy movies, free hairy paysite passes and so much more.

Just be sure to PM me your username on each board so I can credit you points! I will be adding more prizes each week. If enough people from this blog register I’ll set up our own trivia game.

Quiet day today, busy with the new laptop mostly and working on the eBook. Heard from my new mechanic friend and am having a blast chatting with him. He’s very knowledgeable about cars which I really appreciate, plus we share a love of music.

Saw some nice cars yesterday including a 1969 white Firebird stuck in a yard. Also saw a 280Z which was brown with orange stripes, ugly as hell. I think people are putting their cars away for winter storage since I’m not seeing as many as I used to see on the road.

Nothing from TMW on the Ember video yet so still can’t offer it for sale …

How was Monday for you?

Monday, October 16th, 2006

Pretty normal for me. I did get my new laptop today, but only played with it a little. I could not get the wireless router to set up right as I think I had the network key incorrect, so I’ll try again tomorrow. I was rushing as my contractor was coming over. Once I get online then I can get most of the programs I use set up, then do the final swap for the desktop.

“Met” a nice guy today at my chat board, he’s into classic cars so I had a nice chat via email with him. You know how much I love to talk about old cars! I saw that 1969 Firebird that’s for sale again and he lowered his price a little bit. I bet I could get it for $5k less than he’s asking but it’s a New England car so I know it has rust, so even if he gave it to me I think I’d pass.

The only classic I saw today was the 1955 GMC truck I see all over town. I think he uses it as a driver all year round.

I did add 2 new reviews of hairy sites today, one for Hairy Pussy Porno and the other for Hairy Pussies Sex. Both sites got excellent reviews and I believe you can join each for a trial at just $1.95, so it’s worth it!

Still waiting for TMW to get his copy of the Ember DVD — once he tells me he has it and he’s viewed it and I copied it correctly, it will be available to everyone. Hell, I haven’t even set a price yet! I’ll probably offer it at a discount for my blog readers.

I’ll be offering a new trivia game on the hairy chat forum and you’ll win points you can cash in for prizes including hairy videos, hairy DVDS and plain old porno DVDs. I may post about it tonight but if not, then tomorrow.

Happy Columbus Day

How did you celebrate? I bought a new garbage disposal — woo hoo! Mine is several years old and they have newer models that are quieter and handle more things like pineapple tops, celery, ginger, etc. My plumber will be installing it later in the week. I also found a white flange — that’s the metal thingie that fits into your sink — but the color has always been stainless steel-colored. White will look so much better. Best part was going to Lowe’s because I always have the most awesome goatee sightings when I go in there!! Today was not a disappointment, let me tell you. I had to ask for help since I had questions and the salesman had a nice goatee and was pretty helpful, and even offered to carry the thing to my car, which is a good thing as it must weigh at least 20 lbs.

Saw a really nice car today and I thought it was a Shelby from afar due to the color and shape, but upclose it was either a Firebird or Camaro — they look the same. Saw a couple of 1955 Chevy type cars including a few race cars.

Worked on my eBook this weekend and hopefully will have it done in a month or so.

I ordered a DVD duplicator. Usually I send out my tapes to be duplicated as DVD but the cost of technology has come down so much it was cheaper to buy my own duplicator and make my own copies. So, by the end of the week I’ll be able to copy the Ember tape …. anyone willing to be a guinea pig? You’ll get a free copy to check if I duplicated it correctly!

75 degrees today, could not have been more perfect, but at night it goes down to 38 or so and it’s freezing when I wake up. My contractor is here right now, winterizing me, closing up my a/c vents (I can’t reach that high, even on a ladder) and doing some other stuff. One they’re closed I can put on heat at night … hard to believe I need heat so early in the season. I needed a/c in the car today!

I met someone today

Tuesday, October 3rd, 2006

I’m still in shock. It was very unplanned and very, very spontaneous. I was driving to the store and he called and we began chatting, and I mentioned I had driven by a blue El Camino that had been for sale for a while. He said he had just driven by one, too, and sure enough, he was about 4 minutes from me. So, we met up for about 3 minutes just to say hi. I was nervous but not as nervous as I thought I’d be. He did make me feel really good when he said I definitely did not look my age and looked 35.

Will I see him again? No idea. I told him to give me a call so we’ll see if he indeed does call again and wants to see me. Yes, he had a goatee and was unshaven as well! I noticed his blue eyes but not much else as I was a little nervous. I got the impression he could be interested but am not too sure if he definitely is. I’m not going to panic if he doesn’t call tonight as I know he’s very, very busy.

I still have not had a “do you like hairy women” conversation with him yet, but this happened so fast that I didn’t even think about that. We spoke last night for a few hours and I just could not work it into the conversation. That’s the part I truly fear. I guess I’ll know more if he calls tonight, and once I get a feel for that, I’ll know if I can bring it up yet or not. If he doesn’t call, then I guess I’ll be a little relieved at my stay of execution.

Had some amazing car sightings today. 1967 LeMans convertible that was for sale, 1965 black Mustang, 1965 or 66 bright red Mustang on the opposite side of the highway, a later year GTO, a Chevelle, a ‘55 Chevy and probably a few more I’ve forgotten about. Must have been the nice weather (74 degrees) that brought them all out. I did get out and look at the LeMans and it wasn’t in bad condition, just some rust on the bumpers but nothing on the doors. Inside was sparkling.

How was your weekend?

Sunday, September 24th, 2006

Do you like this model? Yeah, I figured you would! Hairy bush, hairy pits and hairy legs, something you don’t see too often. Hope it ends your weekend on the right note.

Mine was fairly quiet, just did a lot of work, stuff around the house, watched Shrek I and Shrek II again. It’s been cold all week and now it’s hot as heck, I have the air conditioning on, no heavy blanket for me tonight, that’s for sure!

I’m working on the Hairy Ember and friend DVD and may have them done within 2 weeks. Will know more during the week.

Not many car sightings this weekend other than a bright purple 1967 Impala. Oh yeah, my friend’s father who was selling his truck? He took it off the market. I ran into him (long story of how I met him) and he said it’s no longer for sale but it wasn’t in as great shape as she said anyway. He’ll keep me in mind as he comes across trucks. He did give me advice on my Pittman arm though!

Quiet Saturday

Saturday, September 16th, 2006

Definitely warmer today. I nearly put on the air conditioning tonight. I didn’t use the blanket last night! They’re saying almost 80 on Monday but then it will cool off during the week.

Took a nap today for 3 hours. I still can’t believe it. I slept for about an hour and a half, woke up, then rolled over for more sleep! By then it was dinner time and I was groggy so worked for a bit first.

It rained like crazy yesterday, but I still saw several classic cars including 3 Firebirds. Yep, and oddly enough, one was red, one whie and one blue! I’d seen the blue one before, many times in fact, but never the red or white one. I saw a red one for sale out of town but this wasn’t it. Just odd they’re drive them when it was raining so hard. I did manage to get to the jewelry store in the rain and get the ring fixed, had a bowl of wonton soup to warm me up, then saw a 3-car fender bender. Last car bumped the 2nd car which bumped into the 1st car. I saw the woman in the first car come out screaming, so I simply called 911 and drove on past it!

You know, it’s sadly funny how people attack you. I said something someone didn’t agree with, and their response was “go shave yourself.”

How’s the weekend?

Saturday, September 2nd, 2006

Hurricane Ernesto is hitting right now, but so far it’s just very windy with some rain, but they say more rain and wind tomorrow. My leak is just worsening but Monday night supposedly my contractor is coming in to fix it. He’s “very busy” but hey, my stuff needs to get done, ya know? That reminds me that I need to take some pics of my remodeled room for Eddie — tomorrow for sure!

Went to Connecticut today but didn’t buy the truck. Not only was it a manual (and yes, I know it’s not expensive to do a changeover to automatic) but the engine was really tired, you could just hear it. He had a really nice 1969 Firebird there for about $7k on a divorce sale, but I don’t want a Firebird. I’m still learning about Pontiacs and I don’t want a muscle car now, if ever. He also had a 1965 Mustang in bright blue for a really good price but the guy with me was an expert in trucks, not Mustangs, so I didn’t even consider it. I’m also skeptical when someone wants to sell a car worth $14k for less than half that amount …. I’ll keep looking for my truck though. We did have a really nice lunch and it was nice to go out with a guy who had manners and didn’t bitch about every little thing during the meal. Saw gas as low as $2.42 at one station but very few classic car sightings due to the storm. I did learn some more about engines today. I always figured, for example, a 389 was a 389. But, no, not all have the same horsepower. I need to get a book on engines to learn more.

Still frisky as hell! In fact, I had such an erotic dream last night I got up around 2 am and was so disoriented with passion I thought I wasn’t alone. Pretty frisky today, though we didn’t talk about sex all that much. I’m not quite sure what set me off other than hormones, it’s not like I had some great goatee sightings this week! In fact, it’s been a while since I had a really good one .. sighting, that is!

Just realized that Friday night I have a laser appointment. It’s a week early but things are going so well I don’t mind. I actually thought of having it done on my legs. Now, before you all scream — my legs are no longer hairy, and the hair that is there is very spotty. I shaved them about 2 years ago (after not doing them for 12+ years) thinking the hair would grow in properly, but it doesn’t. It has rubbed off from sleeping I guess. But, don’t panic, as I’m not having it done for a variety of reasons, including the cost, the pain and the fact very few people really look at my legs. People look at them as they’re so muscular but no one gets close enough to see the hair.

I’d never, ever considering doing my underarms, as I love the hair that is there. I like to play with it when I lie down and watch TV — ok, so not that often — but I just like it, and have no plans to ever, ever remove it. It’s been about 15 or 16 years since I’ve shaved them, too.

Eddie mentioned that I seem more outgoing since I’m going out more, but it’s just that the laser has given me more confidence. I’m still very shy, but I now have more balls than ever. I have no qualms about going up to a stranger and asking about their car or truck. Oh, I’m still very self conscious, and I don’t think that will ever go away, but it’s not so prevalent any more. I think the combination of the red hair and better cut gave me more confidence, and it’s not bright red like Lucy lol, it’s more a brunette with very warm highlights. The cut suits me much better and with that and the laser, I feel like a new woman.

I used to be extremely self-conscious over my weight, and still am somewhat that way, but after my ex said something really really REALLY nasty about my weight last year, I was triply self-conscious about my weight. Now I’m happy with me!

Stay warm and dry!

Hey how was the weekend?

Sunday, August 27th, 2006

Mine ended early due to the rain, didn’t want to be caught outside in the rain! It began oddly. Friday was supposed to be a nice day, and when I began in the morning, it was about 69 degrees, slight breeze, slight sun — a beautiful day. I planned to drive to the Cape and begin the weekend. Did a few little errands, went home for lunch, and then all of a sudden it was raining out. Ok, so I figured I’d wait a little bit. By 4:30 it was still pouring out, so I had to postpone my trip until Saturday. Still had fun so I can’t complain too much. Saw too many amazing cars to list but my favorite had to be a 1955 GMC truck, just like the one I want to buy. I’m actually going to look at yet another one this week!

Now I’m home, caught up on things (a laptop is a wonderful thing) and, of course, it’s raining again and pretty dark out. I guess I was wise to come home early!

More later :)

Weekend is almost here

Thursday, August 17th, 2006

Well, in preparation for my big weekend, I went in today and had my hair trimmed and the color perked up a bit. I’m so psyched for this. Tony is bringing his Pontiac expert and I plan to pick his brain for a long, long time. My friend’s father is selling his 1955 Chevy truck, the exact model I want. He’s fixed it up but it has bucket sets, not a bench seat. I told her if the price is right, I want it. I know what he paid for it, and it wasn’t that much … so my fingers are crossed.

Contractors just left, they were here at 4:30 today and due in at 6. I had just gotten home from having a new car alarm installed and bam, they were here. I do believe that room is finished, but I have a ton of stuff to put away now. Once done I’ll take a picture, I love it so much!

I put up a new website today called Hairy Handjobs. You’ll see a woman with 2″ long forearm hair plus other women as well. I love the design!

Something is bothering me. I thought I was making a “friend” by chatting with someone, and I believe he chatted since he thought I was so hairy. When I mentioned hair in other areas, besides the “usual” ones, he disappeared. I was somewhat crushed because it hurts when you’re rejected, not that he was a romantic possibility (too far away) but geez, can’t a guy remain friends with a woman who has hairy shoulders?

A friend mentioned that I’m much friskier in the past year than I had been in the past, and part of that is I’ve begun exploring my sexuality in new ways. Now, it’s been all by myself so far, despite a few offers, but I like finding new places to touch, new ways to touch, and new fantasies to think about. I don’t think it ever hurts to expand your mind.

Major classic car 50’s night tonight, but with the contractors here I could not go. I wanted to go to talk to the guy with the Shelby I’ve seen around here, but there is another show coming up and I’m sure I’ll see him there, if not this weekend, which is a massive one that everyone goes to.

Oh, that new TV show by Simon Cowell is called Celebrity Duets, and here is the lineup:

(these are the non-professional singers who will be trained)

The eight warbling wannabes are Chris Jericho (WWE World Champion), Lucy Lawless (”Xena: Warrior Princess,” “Battlestar Galactica”), actor Cheech Marin (”Nash Bridges”), 2004 Olympic gold medal-winning gymnast Carly Patterson, actor/director Alfonso Ribeiro (”The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,” “All of Us”), pop culture guru Jai Rodriguez (”Queer Eye”), actor/comedian Hal Sparks (”Queer as Folk”) and actress Lea Thompson (”Back to the Future,” “Caroline in the City”).

The singers set to appear include Clint Black, Michael Bolton, Belinda Carlisle, Taylor Dayne, Peter Frampton, Macy Gray, James Ingram, Wynonna Judd, Chaka Khan, Patti LaBelle, Kenny Loggins, Richard Marx, Brian McKnight, Aaron Neville, Smokey Robinson, Randy Travis, Dionne Warwick.

I can not wait. I LOVE Patti LaBelle and Taylor Dayne (who played locally last weekend) so this sounds like a really cool show.

Still happy Benji won SYTYCD. 16 million votes, it shows that the program is really catching on. Unlike American Idol where you can vote thousands of times, you can vote just 10 times. I think that makes it much more fair.

Some days I dislike being an “adult” webmaster

Thursday, August 10th, 2006

“Pornography marketers use methods such as pop-up ads, adware and various other sorts of hidden and malicious software, which do things such as hijacking browsers and directing computers to pornography websites,” the study said. “Unethical marketers install these programs on computers without the permission or knowledge of Internet users by, for example, bundling them with game demos and music youth may download or disguising download links as patches or upgrades.”

According to ASACP Executive Director Joan Irvine, responsible members of the adult entertainment community work hard to keep children from viewing content intended for adults.

“Fortunately, the majority of adult companies behave responsibly,” Irvine told XBIZ. “Most ASACP members already use ‘warning’ pages and other methods to keep kids off their sites, and ASACP’s new labeling project should help make sure adult sites will be clearly identifiable as such, and will be viewed only by adults who want to view them.”

I wish they’d not lump us all together. Those who know me know I’ve had Hair To Stay online since 1994 and have never, ever had a popup on my website. I’ve had several paysites and run 3 now and have no popups on them. I despise them. I refused to use age verification services because I don’t agree with them — they charge you X amount of dollars to prove you’re over 18, then a year later make you pay again — what, did you turn 15 all of a sudden?

Ok, off my soapbox. My new local chat forum has taken off pretty well and the outside-the-area section is picking up, too. Spent most of today rebuilding the password files for one of my paysites — had a server error that wiped all the passwords. What a mess!

Contractor just left, finished priming the walls and the latex paint really smells bad, even in this part of the house. Hopefully overnight the central a/c will move it around until it disappears.

Today I learned the difference between someone I’m told is a good mechanic, but who in actuality sucks, and one who knows his shit and proves it.

Few classic car sightings today, mostly Impalas and pre-1950 cars.

I am craving wonton soup so think I’ll grab myself some tomorrow for lunch. I deserve a treat!

Sleep!

Saturday, August 5th, 2006

Well, here I was complaining I could not sleep, right? 5:15 am and I was up today. Stayed in bed for another 45 minutes before giving up and working until 8, then had breakfast and read the paper. Worked some more, then decided to lie down for a few minutes and read. 1 hour later I woke up, looked at the clock, and rolled over for another hour! I woke up at 11:30!!! I could not believe it, I have SO much to do but I guess I really needed it. It’s 8:30 pm and while I’m a little tired, not as much as usual (I swear as I typed that, I yawned!).

Pulling my video room apart is a lot more work than I thought it would be. Just pulling stuff off shelves and trying to find a place for them is a daunting task. I’m about to go tackle the fax machine and surrounding shelves. Got almost 1000 videos and DVDs moved out though. I want to do the laptop and all the peripherals but I think I’ll wait until tomorrow when there is more light, as I don’t want to screw that up. So many of the wires aren’t loose, as they should be — my ex did not like wires so tied them all up, which was one of the stupider things he ever did. How can you tie down computer wires when anyone who uses a computer knows you’re always changing out components and reconnecting things??

Watched this program on Mustangs today, or at least part of it. Hundreds of Mustangs make this trek to Little Rock, AR and stop in Mustang, OK along the way. Oldest Mustang driver was 80! I haven’t seen my own Mustang in more than 3 weeks and won’t for a long time, so it was nice to see them. One guy had the original one he bought and it had been a family car for a family with 4 kids!

VH1 Classic has been rerunning the 1st day of MTV — again — so I’ve been working and rocking out to some good old music. I remember having a huge crush on the bass player from Lee Ritenour’s band and wow, saw him in a video and it brought back memories. Right now it’s “Bluer Than Blue” but I’ve seen a lot of .38 Special as well. I was into Southern rock pretty heavily for a few years. Also saw my favorite Pretenders song, Message Of Love.

Found my cache of hairy women magazines. Many are just magazines with hairy woman layouts, but several are magazines from the 70’s and 80’s that had nothing but hairy women.

95 degrees

Tuesday, August 1st, 2006

Wow, is it hot out. This morning wasn’t that bad actually, warm but a breeze and the sun wasn’t out. But this afternoon the humidity had really crept in, the sun was out and it was just hot as hell. I ran out to the store for popsicles, of all things, and thought I’d melt, too. And they say it will be ever hotter tomorrow.

They’re cutting back on the power because the lights are definitely not as bright as usual. They say around 6 pm, when most people come home from work and turn on the air conditioners, the usage will be at its peak. I shut off one computer to save on the electrical drain, doing my part!

They just said on the news that Thursday night the heat will break as the humidity will go away, so I know we’ll have massive thunderstorms.

Saw just 2 classics today, one a 55 or 56 Chevy in bright orange, a gorgeous car. With this heat you don’t see many older cars out because they overheat so easily. The other was a blue Cougar, probably early 70’s, totally restored. Could not get a closeup look as I was driving by as it was parked in a diner parking lot.

I was talking to someone who works for a company that does classic car loans, insurance, locators, etc. and he was telling me the demand for garage space for classics is so high they’re building yet another facility to house classic cars. I think people watch the Barrett-Jackson auction on TV and see these cars going for over $100k and figure they’ll buy something and fix it up and make big bucks. They don’t realize how much it will cost to fix it up or how much time it will take. Also, guys watch that movie with “Eleanor” and think how cool it would be to own a car like that as it will make them a big man. I think the person makes the car and not vice versa, but that’s just me.

Hm, I have a craving for pizza, but it’s too hot for hot food! Though I did have hot Veal Marsala (no wine) for lunch … but I just saw a TV commercial for Domino’s Pizza — uhm, they now have Domino’s ribs??? I’d love someone to try them and let me know how they are. I had Domino’s pizza one time in my life and didn’t like it at all. I’ve never had their chicken wings and know I’d never try their ribs. I only like ribs from one place because they cook them, they don’t smoke them.

H O T

Thursday, July 27th, 2006

It’s still so damned hot, nearly 90 today with high humidity. I had to go to Rhode Island to check out a truck (didn’t get it) and did some shopping but it was just so hot I could not wait to get home and cool off.

Right now there is banging over my head as my guy is putting in some fans in the attic. He has to cut right through the house to install these and I told him to tell me once the holes are cut out because I’m curious to see what’s inside the walls of my house.

Saw a woman today with forearms so hairy I thought they were male. She was at a restaurant and I could not help but notice them as I walked by. I had an awesome steak, a new cut called a flat iron steak. Nice and thick with absolutely no gristle or fat at all. I’m very fussy about steaks and this was an amazing cut. I wish I could find this at my local grocery store!

Saw some nice cars today, all convertibles including a 1966 Mustang and what I think is a 1972 Buick, plus 3 1955 Chevys. Apparently there was a car show in my area (30 minutes away) the other night but I didn’t know about it, a friend from AFF emailed to tell me about it. Heard from an old friend from AFF who wants to hook up and yes, I mean that as in have sex — but — he can’t seem to understand I don’t do one-night stands. Nice guy, I like him as a friend but that’s it. Hopefully we can get together for lunch when it gets a little cooler.

Well, what a Monday …

Monday, July 24th, 2006

First off, I didn’t get the car. I talked to the dealer selling it and he gave me information, then I called Tony at work and begged for his Pontiac expert’s phone number, so I could check things with him. He spent over an hour and I’m now an expert in short and long block, rear posi and all kinds of other crap I’ll never use lol. I decided against buying it for a lot of reasons and at first was bummed out but now am fine with it. I really want a truck over anything else. My guy at my body shop has been looking for me, has a few prospects he has to check out.

I have the edit of the Ember tape and as soon as my guys are doing finishing up the new wallpaper border, I’ll watch it .. I hope it’s better than the last edit!

Weekend is almost over

Sunday, July 23rd, 2006

How was yours? Mine was fine, nothing extraordinary happened. Oh, I did find the car of my dreams. I’m not going to jinx it and talk about it until it’s in my garage — IF I get it. I still need to look and be sure it’s in the condition they claim it is. The price is very low which leaves me a little leery ….

Still hot and humid with no end in sight. I hate the summer! I wish it were October .. my favorite time of year, the weather is always cool but not cold, sunny but not too bright ….

Didn’t get to pick up my Ember tape on Friday so will do so tomorrow. Can’t scan in any images as that office is in pieces as they pull down shelves and do stuff in there. Hopefully by the end of next weekend I’ll be back in business.

What a day

Thursday, July 20th, 2006

Big storm a-comin! Big winds, lots of rain, going to be a fun fun few days. Got some errands out of the way today, then my POS car died and I had to call the garage.

You’ll see some amazing links I posted at the Hairy Chat site today …

Talked to my new truck friend and he found yet another truck for me to go look at, but he said it was manual so I said no way in hell! I did talk to a new guy today, he has a 1973 Camaro he recently restored, and I may go look at it. He helped me with my car when it died today. He had a tattoo on his upper arm and I realized that all of a sudden I’m attracted to tattoos on the upper arm. I don’t like massive ones, but smaller ones are now getting my attention.

Still somewhat frisky, too … having a nice online flirtation with this guy who pushes my buttons for some reason.

My new chat forum will open over the weekend …. if you’re interested in it, let me know. I need posters and moderators. While the premise of it is local area stuff, there is a large section for outside interests including music, movies, sex, current events, etc. Moderators and frequent posters who help me build up the forum can get free videos and DVDS …..

Thunderboomers

Wednesday, July 19th, 2006

Hell of a storm last night, literally 2 hours of severe thunderstorms. Kept me up for quite a while, too. The humidity broke for today so you had to expect the storms. It will be back tomorrow, though. It was 90 yesterday but it wasn’t that bad to me. Sure, it was hot, but I didn’t feel the humidity as I usually do. Humidity affects me much more than heat. I remember last summer one day my ex and I went to some dumb antique shops on a day when there was almost 100% humidity and I felt so sick that night. I get very sick from that high humidity and prefer to stay in the air conditioned house.

I talked to the truck guy last night and after a lot of soul searching, I will not be going on a date with him. He’s been married 3 times and I don’t want to date someone who has been in 3 very long-term relationships that didn’t work out. Been there, done that. He also has kids and grandkids (he’s actually older than I am) and I just don’t want to deal with that at my age. I’d rather be alone. He understood as I was honest with him about my feelings. He’ll still keep looking for a truck for me and we’re going to have lunch at the next car show in his area in a few weeks.

And, admittedly, a small part of me wondered what he’d feel about me being so hairy ….

What a start to the weekend

Last night I decided to try to fix my scanner. Tech support gave me instructions so I started doing what they said. Nothing worked, so they said to try using another outlet. I plugged in the scanner but as soon as I plugged in the USB cable, there was a “pop” and the scanner shut down and the lights went off. I knew I blew a fuse or rather popped a breaker. I figured I’d take my time before running down to the cellar to untrip it, so went for a popsicle. The ice maker on my fridge door, however, wasn’t lit up. I realized that apparently that outlet in a back bedroom is connected to my fridge. Odd, but glad I caught it before the freezer went without power for any length of time.

So, I shlep downstairs and trip the breaker and sure enough, I now have electricity! I decided to say screw it and just buy a new scanner, so spent a few hours online trying to find one, and I did and should have it next week.

So .. I go to sleep. Got up in the middle of the night as I’ve been doing lately and could not fall back asleep, so figured I’d get up and pee. Did my business, got back in bed and looked at the clock radio and it said 8:30. I blinked about 20 times, put on my glasses, but it it then said 8:32. I realized it had been 8 hours and 32 minutes since I lost the power, so apparently the outlet in my back bedroom is connected not only to the fridge but an outlet in my bedroom, too. I look at the clock on the wall, a huge pink neon clock, and it says 3:15. So, I set the clock radio and try to go back to sleep, but I tossed and turned. Finally it said 6:13 so I figured it was time to get up. I go the bathroom, then came into this office to turn on the tv to the all-news channel, as I always do. I glanced at this computer before turning on the screen on the other one, and the hard drive light was flashing like crazy.

Now, I had trouble sleeping and had a horrible dream about one of my sites being hacked, and can still see the screen how it would not shut down, it kept popping up in a foreign language, etc. So, this was like deja vu!

I turn on the monitor to see what’s going on, since nothing should be running. I see it’s my virus protection scanner, which scans every day. I look at my computer clock and it’s 7:19 am.

Uh, the clocks in my house were never set ahead during daylight savings time, so all are an hour slow …. duh! So now I’m scrambling to turn on all computers, no time for a full breakfast so grab a roll and butter, then jump in the shower. Not a great way to begin the day!

I planned to go to my doctor’s office to grab a prescription, hit the grocery store, pick up mom and take her to the hospital to visit dad, go home and have lunch, etc. But, I forgot there is a huge festival at a park/zoo near the hospital, so I got stuck in traffic for about 30 minutes. I was wondering what else could go wrong today ….

When I went to turn into the doctor’s office, I saw a Mustang coming at me. I could not tell from the grill what year it was, but as it got close I saw it was a white fastback, 1967, with a huge blue stripe down the car. GORGEOUS car. It may have been a Shelby but I didn’t get to check the grill or door. He waved since I waved at him lol.

So, that made my day!!

I then was driving by the glass place and decided to stop in, and there was a 1950s truck parked there. Of course I went up to it to check it out. It was restored but had a good amount of rust at the bottom of the doors. It was a GMC and that’s the style I really like. I never saw the owner and I wanted to talk to him about the truck — but I’ve seen him at Dunkin Donuts near me so maybe I’ll run into him again.

Saw a convertible today, not sure the model as it was too far away, but it resembled a Cadillac in size, but in body type it seemed to be a Pontiac Bonneville. It had unique headlights so I’m going to have to do some online checking later tonight.

Saw a bright orange Camaro or Firebird, probaby 1968, but as usual, the owner tried to act like a big shot and revved his engine like a moron.

Ended the day after dropping mom off by picking up some Chinese food for dinner, some very very spicy General Tso’s Chicken (in some areas it’s General Gau) which I just finished. Now I’m about to jump into a nice shower, then relax for a bit, work, and watch NCIS tonight.

PS: Found an image of that white Mustang I saw today! I had it on one of my websites, lol. It’s a Shelby

What a beautiful day

Thursday, July 6th, 2006

The weather turned out to be perfect. It began with rain that had me up at 4 am and working at 5 as I could not sleep. When I went to the chiropractor it was drizzling. Came home to meet the stove guy (he had to replace a broken part, from non-use) and after lunch I went out for a few hours and it could not have been nicer out. Didn’t need the a/c in my car, had the windows open, it was so nice.

Spotted a Dodge Charger, probably a 1964 or 1965 — it was not the General Lee model, the back was different. It was black but very very shiny, and I wanted to follow the guy to see the car up close and personal.

I went to look at a few cars and a truck today. I need a classic that is reliable, not one that breaks down if you go more than 20 MPH. First I saw a 1962 Impala but it was in very rough shape. The guy tried to give me a hard sell, telling me how there was rust but no holes lol. The seats were a mess, the body needed work, it was just bad. They asked $8,795 but he said to make an offer. I offered $2k and he said they turned down $7k and I told him he should have grabbed it. He went on and on about how all the car mags show these cars for $40k and I agreed, but also said you’d have to spend at least $40k to restore it!!

Then I saw a 1955 GMC truck, bright red, but fully restored. I told him I wanted something rough around the edges, and not a $25k truck! Sheesh. Then I saw a 1963 Falcon but this one had huge rust holes in the roof, doors, you name it. I’m still on the lookout for my truck and maybe some day I’ll find it. I’m most likely going to a car show in 3 weeks with Tony, going to the Cape for the weekend, so will look when I’m there.

I got an awesome gift today. I now own a handheld GPS. It’s a little portable unit that can go from car to car and is simple to operate, just touch the screen and that’s it. I haven’t used it to find a route yet but will do so tomorrow, I can’t wait to play with it.

I tried to scan in about 50 photos of Ember and Katrina but my scanner isn’t working right. For some reason you get bright yellow lines down one side of the screen. I emailed for tech support but in the meantime am searching online for a better model.

Happy 4th Of July!

So, how was your holiday?

Mine began with the plumber showing up and spending almost an hour and a half for a clogged drain. Oh, I did a great job, it clogged up the trap so bad they had to bang and bang on the pipes and make all kinds of noise and then, they had a lot of problems. Remind me never to put ginger down the garbage disposal again! Meanwhile, they showed up before I could dry my hair or dress, so I was in a robe with ratty wet hair!

The rest of the day went better, took dad out to lunch for his 76th birthday. Considering 6 months ago the doctor called me at home and told me to get to the hospital right away as dad wouldn’t live through the night, he’s come a long way. He walked in on his own, with his oyxgen, and had a nice lunch.

I did a few small errands and worked, and that was it.

Today I went grocery shopping and planned to just come home and work where it was nice and cool. Instead I ran into an old friend and she and I decided to go out for lunch and talk — with it being a holiday the restaurants were nearly empty anyway. We spent almost 4 hours talking and sharing and I’ll go into more later on, but talking to her was eye-opening in many, many ways.

Figured I’d see a lot of classics on the road but only saw a couple, mostly Chevelle types, nothing special, though there was a 1920’s car that was awesome. Maybe if I’d been out longer or driven around more I would have seen more, but wanted to come home and do some stuff. Getting ready to pull a room apart including new paint, new wallpaper border, new shelves, etc, so I’m just beginning to plan it all out as there is a ton of stuff to move. I also finally, after 5-6 months of looking, found a new wallpaper border for my dining room. I think that will get done next week.

For those who keep wondering about the video I did with the 2 hairy lesbians, it’s being edited right now, and if I can remember I’ll scan in a photo or two to give you a preview to whet your appetite. One of the women is one of the hairiest you’ve ever seen, and her girlfriend is fairly hairy but not hirsute, though very cute. I have to do some work on the laptop tomorrow and that’s where the scanner is, so I should hopefully remember

Yay, it’s the weekend

Have plans? I plan to work but also to watch Syriana, a movie I’ve wanted to see for a while.

Had some great car sightings, saw a 1966 light yellow Mustang with a black top and I actually (shy little me) parked next to it and got out and talked to the guy about his car. As I was talking to him, a gorgeous black GTO drove by — I was in heaven! I then saw a 1969 or so Camaro, bright orange, being driven by a girl, which I love to see.

A personal comment to the gentleman who was kind enough to email me about the Secret Stereo information. I did respond but am not sure if Hotmail blocked me. I wish I knew you a year ago before I ended up with this horrible radio. Again, thank you!

Well, I’ll write more later on, since I have someone special to email ….. :)

Rainy, sunny day

Thursday, June 15th, 2006

It was raining this morning, then sunny and very humid, then it poured, then it was sunny, now it’s pouring again. One of those New England weather days!

Got to look at that gorgeous ‘69 Camaro again when I was at the body shop today and the more I look at it, the more I fall in love with it.

Did you catch So You Think You Can Dance last night? The top 20 dancers performed and tonight, they eliminate 2 dancers. Not sure if I’ll get to see it as the kid will be here to paint the kitchen at 6 and will probably be here for a few hours, even with someone else helping him. I have 104 knobs to be removed from the cabinets but only removed half myself as the rest are too high up for me to reach. That will take them a while to do before the actual work, plus the prep work. I’m hoping the paint I bought is the same shade or I’m in deep doo doo :)

Has anyone here ever heard of the “secret stereo” and if so, what do you think of it? Not the CD changer unit but the AM/FM part of it?

Hairy woman on NCIS

Tuesday, June 13th, 2006

Did you catch the show tonight? They had a woman with very hairy pits and legs …. if you didn’t see it, I won’t tell you the scene but it’s memorable.

I saw so many classic cars today including a 1966 yellow Mustang convertible right next to a 1968 red Mustang convertible. They there was the Ford Galaxie convertible (red, of course) and about 10 other cars, make unknown. I still say I need a video camera!

I was having an alarm installed today (yes, another one) and a woman came in and I didn’t really look at her, other than noticing she was very busty. When she turned to me to ask me a question, I noticed she had a very dark, very thick mustache. She was black and it was very very noticeable. Naturally I didn’t stare but wanted to ask her to pose! She has somewhat of an accent and I’m thinking maybe Barbados.

Hot day today, came home and it ready 80 in the house so I cranked up the a/c. Friday night I had a heavy quilt and another blanket and tonight I need the a/c. Gotta love New England weather!

If you saw NCIS, post! Oh yeah, if you like to comment here, remember you can actually make your own posts — just let me know and I can set you up.

Classic car day

Monday, June 12th, 2006

Today was definitely a classic car day. I saw a ton of them on the road. One of my neighbors has a rare Cougar that is always kept in his yard, but when I drove by today I noticed he now has 2 of them, the second one being a maroon Cougar. Wow. I also went by a house with a sign that said “Mustang for sale $2,500″ and I remember looking at it last year. He wanted $6,500 a year ago and when we saw it, it wasn’t worth $500. He said “no rust” but there were no seats, either lol. Mine at least has seats, though they are damaged and need to seriously be fixed someday. His was a real mess and I don’t even think I’d give him $500 for it.

Beautiful day today, slight breeze, sunny and about 71 degrees. Could not have been better weather-wise. After all that rain everything is really green, too.

Not sure if you heard, but the husband of former porn star Asia Carrera was killed the other day — here is the link to the story. What I don’t understand is how she can find out her husband was killed, while 8 months pregnant and come home and type out a webpage and ask for donations. She’s telling everyone on her site how she’s a member of Mensa, how she invests in mutual funds and we all know she was a major porn star, yet her husband who obviously had a very lucrative web business dies and she now has no car, no money and no future? I feel bad she lost her husband, especially at 8 months pregnant, but where is all her money? Did they live from paycheck to paycheck?

It really shows how important life insurance is. I’m single and don’t have any but if I died tomorrow, no one would suffer. I do have a will, though. I had to update it in December as I had changed it last August and needed to make some fast changes.

What A Day!

Sunday, June 11th, 2006

Spent the past 5 hours fighting with my laptop computer. I went to connect to the network and it seemed to connect fine, but I could not reach a website, FTP, SSH, etc. I tried and tried. I did web searches. I asked for help and did what I was told and nothing would fix it. I kept running back and forth between this and that machine like a mad woman.

I forgot I had something in the toaster oven that should have been in for 15 minutes and when I came out to go to this machine, smelled something burning, an hour later.

I removed some hardware settings and that didn’t fix it, then went to try to reinstall it and could not. I was really aggravated.

So, I signed up with a cheapie dial-up figuring at least I’d have a connection, right? Heh, nothing would work, kept giving me errors from timing out (error 718) to wrong username/pass which I knew was right. Tech support was of no help.

Wow

Tuesday, June 6th, 2006

Billy Preston died. I’m in shock. I saw him on some TV special last year and he looked about 70 years old and very sick. He was just 59 but apparently was in pretty bad health over the past few years, and went into a deep coma back in November and today, died. He was the 5th Beatle if you’ve never heard of him. In the 70’s he had a massive afro and was easily recognizable. He also wrote “You Are So Beautiful” for Joe Cocker.

I wish I had a video camera. Driving into Dunkin Donuts today and coming out is a white SS Chevelle, not sure if it’s 68 or 69 but it was gorgeous. On the way to the body shop (yes, again) I saw a white 1970 Mustang. At the body shop I found out that “ZZ Top Legs car” is actually a 1940 coupe. While there I saw a silver 1969 Camara being tweaked out.

Then, driving home I drove by a house that always has a 1968 Firebird in the driveway. My ex called it a BondoBird! I drove by and saw it in the driveway. At the next light I look in my rear view mirror and it’s right behind me. I got a great view of the front of the car which I’d never seen before.

I also saw my dream house and I plan to go back there with my camera to take pics. The stonework alone probably cost more than I earn in a year.

I’m back to seeing the chiropractor 3 days a week. Last year my ex ordered me an exhaust system and it weighed 40 lbs, but of course he wasn’t around when it was delivered so I had to bring it in from the porch, and slipped a disc in my upper neck and pinched a nerve. 4 months of chiropractic healed it and I saw 4 surgeons, had 3 MRIs and a CT scan as well. For the past couple of months it’s been fine and I’ve been pain-free.

Friday I helped someone move something, knowing I shouldn’t but I really had no choice, and Saturday my neck began hurting. By yesterday I was a wreck, so saw my chiropractor today and she said I was “really” out of place and the nerve is pinched again. It will take a month or two of adjustments to make me pain-free again, but sitting makes it really hurt, so I work for a bit, then sit elsewhere with an ice pack. So, I may not be posting as much for a few days and won’t be doing as much work for a while.

I fell in love tonight …

Monday, June 5th, 2006

… with a car. A 1969 Firebird or Camaro — not sure which — in bright purple with a white vinyl top. It was parked at an ice cream stand and as I drove by I fell in love! I’m not in a purple phase right now but the color of this was just an amazing shade of purple. The driver looked to be about my age but he wasn’t that close to me so it was hard to tell. I wished I had my camera with me.

I saw Boss 351 Mustang today. No clue on the year as I’m not familiar with that model at all, it appeared to be 1967 and above. It was at the gas station and at first I wasn’t sure what it was, but I saw the license plate and the name on the car and then knew what it was. I’ll have to do a little reading to learn more about this model and find out how rare it is, etc.

After not sleeping well due to the cold at night, I now have a blanket on my bed so tonight I can sleep! It’s June and should not be 50 degrees at night, though I shouldn’t bitch as I’m saving on the electric bill with no air conditioning on.

Long, long day

Thursday, June 1st, 2006

I’m just sitting down to work tonight. Had to go out of town to the dermatologist today. He took a look at my thumb, said it was coming along fine, said to keep using the cream for 6 weeks and I’ll be all set. I was with him less than 2 minutes and he had the gall to charge me $90.

When I got home I went to the body shop to check up on my car and it was so hot and humid by then. I did get an upclose look at the 1968 Camaro they had there and that was pretty cool.

I had to run a couple of quick errands and, of course, forgot my cell phone so missed a call that my new glasses were ready.

Had to wait for the guy who is going to put up my wallpaper border in my bathroom, or rather remove the one that rat bastard contractor put up and it then shrunk. He got here late and just left, so I never was able to have dinner, though I’m not that hungry as I had a big lunch when I was out today. Lately I have been eating a bigger lunch and then by dinner time I’m not that hungry, so have been having a popsicle or two for dinner.

I did see a clerk at a store who had a very dark mustache but no other visible facial hair.
