My car restoration is nearly done!

Wednesday, August 22nd, 2007

I was feeling really bummed out today. This guy who I thought I connected with never called again, and I’m pretty sure it’s because I told him I have hairy pits. So, feeling really crappy, I figured I’d call my mechanic who yelled at me a lot last time I called, was really rude, etc. Can’t get worse, right?

Oh man, the car is weeks away from being done. I’m trying to remember all he told me .. engine is in, carb is in, distributor is wired up, steering column column is in, brake booster is on, power steering is in, conversion to automatic is done (waiting for the Hurst shifter, though) and they need some small electrical things before they can start it for the first time. Custom exhaust is done. Starter wired up (the wires had been cut). He went on and on and I’m going there tomorrow with my camera to check it out.

I know I need that visor and a headliner bow, and need the stereo installed. I don’t know if the seats need to be redone and refoamed. I have pics of the interior and know when I bought it he said they’d just been done.

I have my computer stud coming in tomorrow, and an electrician (don’t ask about the burning wire smell when I turn on the light fixture, oy vey) and once they leave I am off to check out the car.

I have my camera all ready and am SO excited!

Met someone for coffee yesterday but I felt no spark. He had no personality, knows nothing about old cars, mumbles and was just not my type at all.

So …

So, things aren’t that great. First, the guy from Hawaii (geep) hasn’t materialized. I still don’t know if he was ill and didn’t get on the plane, or arrived here and changed his mind. I had a small meet and greet last night but, of course, he wasn’t there. It was fun, I guess. Going through too much in my personal life right now to want to sit down and have “fun” with strangers, but I did it and am glad it’s over.

Saw my dream car yesterday, a 1971 Mustang Mach 1 fastback. I’ve been looking for one and on the way to the bank, saw one at a muffler and brake shop. Slowed down to check it out and it’s obvious it was fully restored. Must be a trailer queen that does’t go out much.

Still updating sites and haven’t finished all yet, been preoccupied but will get back to it today. Since I can no longer sleep, I’m working more. Tried to get a prescription to help me with this issue but at $5 a pill I’ll take an alternative I have. Maybe if the drug company had less TV commercials they could lower the price of their medication.

I’m firmly convinced there is not a single male on the face of the earth who does not lie.

How was the weekend in your area?

Monday, July 16th, 2007

Mine was busy. I’m redoing a site that’s been up for years, and it will take me at least a solid week of working on it to get it done, but it will be worth it in the end.

No word from Bill so I’ve given up on him and moved on, but there is John … he works a lot, too, but still manages to hit me up and hopefully will call tonight. And there is still Matt … but I’m still not ready to meet either of them. But, I was ready to meet Bill but I’m not going to chase him.

Am looking at a 1966 Dodge Coronet this week. I got about 3 dozen photos today and the underbody looks good. There is some serious bad bondo work on the doors but I’d rather have door rust than floor rust. 318 engine, power steering and the interior is nice. I’m waiting for some trunk pan pics. The price is very cheap but we’ll see. It will need some body work but that can be a winter project, since I’m still having my other car done. Engine is in but not fired up yet. Custom exhaust went on but it wasn’t tight enough so it’s going back. Got the brake booster, master cylinder and proportional thingie. I hope it only takes another month since I have a bit of interior work to do on it but want to drive the damned thing already.

No regrets over passing on the Firebird. The more I pictured the frame rail bubbles, the holes drilled in weird places and the hacked dashboard, the better I felt about my decision. I have a friend in Indiana looking for a solid car for me.

It’s funny, but my Firebird guy has been emailing me all weekend trying to make me feel better but I think I’ve convinced him I’m not broken-hearted over this. He was the first person I texted as I drove home to tell him “no go.”

Oh well. If not these cars, it will be something else. I’m always looking!

No new car for Pammie

Friday, July 13th, 2007

I made an offer and he wants $2k more than I offered. I looked up the value, my mechanic looked at it … and it needs some work. Frame rail has too much bubbling, some cracks on each side of the trunk, interior dash was hacked up badly and would need some cosmetic work.

I could go up $1,500 and hope he takes it, but I’m waffling … as I don’t know how solid the welding was.

So, I think I will pass on this one and just keep my eyes open.

Firebird baby!

Thursday, July 12th, 2007

I didn’t buy it yet but did look at it, couldn’t wait until tomorrow when I go with my mechanic!

It’s a beautiful car and I won’t do the changeover if I buy it, I’ll just learn to drive a stick. 400 engine V8, sounded awesome. The trunk has a bad leak, though — when he showed me the trunk mat and lifted it, it was filled with water. He says it’s just the rubber seal around the top of the trunk but my mechanic will know if that’s the truth, but there is no where else for water to get in.

A few paint bubbles but no rust that I could see. My mechanic will check all the welds.

Canary yellow engine — why can’t I ever buy a car that’s a color I like????

The interior looked good but I forgot to check the radio. I’d put in a Secret Audio anyway. Need to check all the other dials and stuff and I’ll bring my camera which I’m recharging right now.

So, yeah, I’m psyched big time. If my mechanic says it’s ok and we agree on price, I could have it as soon as Saturday. I do have a garage space rented that I can use for it, but it would need some minor work of course before I could drive it, and there is the learning how to drive a stick part which I’m not looking forward to.

So, please keep your fingers crossed for me!!

Hot weather

Thursday, July 12th, 2007

But it’s getting better. Tomorrow I have an appointment to look at a 1967 Firebird with my mechanic. While I wanted a 1969, I’ll take a ‘67. It will need a changeover from manual to automatic but supposedly everything else will suit me, from the 400 engine to the 4 barrel Holley carb. I’m not going to get my hopes up too high but we’ll see what happens. I’m picking him up at the garage after work tomorrow and will take him over to view it and then if he says it’s worth it, I’ll make an offer. Then I’ll be hunting Firebird parts and collectibles. The one I did buy and backed out of was a 1968 if I remember.

I hate the hot weather

Saturday, July 7th, 2007

The summer humidity is here, and I hate it. I swear I sweated off at least 4 lbs today when driving to and from destinations. Not much I can do about it though, right?

Saw a gorgeous bright red 1965 Mustang coupe today, in a horrible neighborhood, totally run down, in back of a house that looked like no one has mowed or painted or cleaned it since the early 1900’s! Ugh, one of those horrid houses but in the back, this absolutely gleaming Mustang. I pulled over to check it out but didn’t want to walk into the yard in case they had Cujo around.

Yesterday I saw a 1966 Mustang in black with a white stripe along the side. I thought it was a California Special or High Country Special but it went by me pretty quickly and I wasn’t really paying all that much attention.

I miss Superman, and I think only Lydia will know what I mean.

My programmer just fixed a major boo-boo on Hairy Space but it’s nothing you’d have noticed, but I sure as hell did! Yow. I’ll be so glad when this is all done, then I can do the next site (don’t yell, Summer!).

Did hear from my friend Bill but he had to work today. I jokingly asked if we’d meet by Christmas and he said he had the day off, but I reminded him he’d be with family. I seriously doubt we’ll ever meet. He works 2 jobs including overtime and even if I were to meet him some night after work, he’d never have the time to devote to a relationship. It’s really a shame but it’s not my fault. He’s just never able to meet.

I was supposed to meet someone last night as a casual thing at a car show but it rained so I never went. Funny thing was I wanted to go to the Toyota dealership and get my truck washed but then I heard we were having a storm, and hell, we did. For about 20 minutes we had thunder and lightning, 40 mph winds, and torrential rain. Then all of a sudden it was sunny again. Gotta love summer weather, huh?

Quiet weekend so far

Saturday, June 23rd, 2007

I just finished updating both the Hairy Women Blog and the Hairy Pits Blog with some new pics. I think you’ll be pleased!

My truck guy called me around 11 this morning to ask what I was doing. Told him I was putting this office back together since I had my new desk and shelves up on the other side of this office. He asks why I stood him up and I’m thinking he’s wacko, until he reminded me we were supposed to meet at a car show this morning. Eeeep. And it was over in about 90 minutes and it would have taken me about 90 minutes to shower, dress and drive over there. I felt really bad that I missed him and the show.

Heard from my newest guy, Bill. Well, he’s not my newest guy yet but I hope he will be soon. I’m hoping he and I can meet soon, or he’ll at least call soon (I’m ready to give him my number). I haven’t been this excited to meet someone in several years. While he’s not the most communicative guy, he brings a smile to my face and no, he has no goatee if you’re wondering. That’s fine with me!

Listening to the end of Shrek right now so know I’ll be crying soon. That movie always moves me to tears.

Still no luck in locating the car I want, but I’m actively searching all car websites. New carb seems to be doing fine so far. The other piece of crap (sitting in my other office right now) didn’t have the anti-stall dashpot which I think was the source of all my issues. I need to take pics to compare to the newer one. Just add it to my list of things to do! I have 96% of this office put back so will finish it up tomorrow. So much more room without those 2 massive wooden desks.

Hope y’all have a happy, hairy weekend.

Life is … ok

Wednesday, June 13th, 2007

Been so busy with work lately that it’s hard to get everything done. I did some major changes to Pam’s Reviews that you’ll notice soon. I have to manually change more than 1,000 reviews by hand, so it won’t be done in a day or two! I’m also having Hairy Space upgraded tonight or tomorrow and if all goes well, you’ll notice major changes. I’ll have a lot of script changes and design work to do after that.

Not much new on the male front. The one I want is too far away and the ones who want me are too close. I’m getting tired of hearing from guys who just want to get laid. Yeah, I’d like to have good sex for once in my life, but I’m not going to compromise my principles to have it. And if I never have it, it’s ok, as I do pretty well by myself.

Went to a car show this past weekend and met up with some friends and had a good time. Saw some new cars I’d never seen in person including a Charger and a Road Runner. A friend who is into Chevelle’s (her nickname is Chevelle) and her very, very sexy husband showed up and there were 4 Chevelle’s for them to drool over including a 1963 model. Her husband is probably the only male I have ever, ever met in my life who actually looks you in the eye when talking to you and doesn’t judge you on looks.

I saw a weird hot rod Mustang that was just too restomodded for me. Then some guy came over to talk to us, gave us the creeps, then came over again, and horribly insulted me. I laughed it off but on the way home was in tears. It reminded me of the time I was at a Chinese restaurant and for some reason, one waitress did not like me (she’d always gotten a big tip). When I walked in with my boyfriend, she commented to the other waitress (who told me all of this), “here comes fatso.” My boyfriend at the time laughed and thought it was funny. I cried myself to sleep that night.

Anyway, tonight begins the top 20 on So You Think You Can Dance. I haven’t seen anyone who made me gasp yet but maybe tonight when I get to see more of them. Last year Benjy blew me away (and this year his sister is in the top 20).

While it’s not a hairy bush, I leave you with a favorite pic of mine as of today

Been a hell of a week

Saturday, June 9th, 2007

My ego has taken a huge beating this week, I tell ya. There was the liar I spoke about who disappeared after I told him I wasn’t going to meet him AND have sex. I haven’t a clue why he thought that considering I told him in the beginning I’d not do that, but obviously he wanted more and if he was the right kind of guy, he’d have stuck around.

Then there was the local guy who wanted a woman with huge tits and won’t settle for less. Thanks for making me feel inadequate.

And, the guy with the goatee and hot rod who doesn’t like hairy arms and legs (and I never told him I had either).

Let’s see, the young one who I like but who lives 1000 miles away and obviously has no plans to move here.

The one an hour away who loves BBWs but neither of us are premium members of a dating website so once we wink at each other, that’s all we can do. Or there is a local guy into BBWs and hairy women but it’s the same thing, neither of us are premium members and I’m just too cheap!

So, what do you think of the Paris Hilton situation? I’m glad she’s back in jail. She isn’t above the law and had she just stuck to the terms of her probation she’d not be in jail now. You can’t keep getting out of things with daddy’s money. She was on the red carpet giving this bullshit about wanting to serve her full sentence and learning from it, but once she found out she had to go back she was in tears and hysterical. Let her stay there 45 days and learn there are consequences to your actions.

Mailman just was here and brought me my carb. I haven’t opened it yet but I can’t wait to open it and actually look at it carefully. I have an appointment to have it installed next week and this should fix my problem once and for all. 2 rebuilds on a piece of crap was enough for me.

I’m now looking for a daily driver classic car, so if you know of a rust-free car, let me know. I’m looking at 1969-72 Mustangs (I know, I used to hate that style, huh?), 1969 Firebird or Camaros, or a Dodge Dart. Saw some online but either they are overpriced or I don’t believe they are described accurately. I did see a really nice 1965 Mustang convertible this week and seriously want a convertible for the summer, but they wanted more than twice the worth of the car plus it had rust that even *I* could see. I don’t want anything needing any sort of restoration at this point since my other car is still being done. A 1950’s truck would be the perfect daily driver.

Laser tonight … and my love life!

Thursday, June 7th, 2007

So, I had another laser appointment tonight. She cranked it up a little higher since I have a few problem spots, but it never hurt and I didn’t hear the snapping noise, which is a good thing. Just glad it’s over.

Did you catch the season finale of The Shield? It was disappointing to me. This season just wasn’t as exciting and the stories are going crazy. Usually the last of the season leaves you on the edge of your seat.

Some nice classic cars on the road today including an old Rolls Royce, a few hot rods, a fox body Mustang GT (what a gorgeous goatee on him!) and a Chevelle/Nova, can’t tell the difference from far away.

Updated Natural Women Blog with lots of new hot images for y’all.

My love life could be picking up. There is a really, REALLY sweet kid who is almost half my age but I love chatting with him, but he doesn’t live close. Then there is a local guy (20 minutes away) who is interested, but he’s already lied to me 4 times that I know of (mostly his age), plus he’s just not giving me enough attention. The young one isn’t so fixated on sex which is amazing for someone his age. But, the good ones are always so far away, it seems. There was an older one who wanted to meet me for coffee tomorrow but he’s disappeared this week for some reason.

Time has certainly been flying by

Wednesday, May 30th, 2007

Right now I’m watching the auditions for So You Think You Can Dance and I have to admit that the B-Boys are some of my favorite dancers. So inventive and original!

Updated lots of sites recently including the Natural Women Blog and, of course, Hairy Space is continuing to grow and I expect a major update in the next few days.

Warm weather is here so tons of classic car sightings. Saw a 1966 Chevelle numbers-matching, big block fuely for $85k (I don’t think so), tons of Dodge Darts, Camaros, Firebirds, even a Super Bee on the highway. I’m still dealing with my carb issue but it will be resolved in a few weeks. No clue on the pre-bent gas lines but I need to stop in and get really bitchy with them.

Frisky frisky frisky. Ok, damned horny. Been that way for a few days. Today was an unbelievable day. If you’ve been to the Hairy Chat board lately and read some of the newest sex stories, including Up Against The Wall, you’ll know why. That and some good goatees sightings, damn. Just thinking about that story gets my juices flowing again. Damn.

Nothing new on the men front … had a few good prospects but I don’t know, I just don’t seem as interested as I once was. One guy seemed nice but he left me cold. Another seemed promising but didn’t seem to want to get to know ME that well. When I said I wouldn’t meet another the next day for coffee (hey, I’m cautious, shoot me) he blew me off. I’m finding that guys 28-33 are attracting me more and more and it’s bothering me more and more as well. Physically that is what attracts me, yet emotionally I need someone my age or older, particularly a daddy type.

YankBird seems to be MIA so I don’t know why she hasn’t been posting.

Yes, I’m alive

Monday, May 21st, 2007

Been just SO busy. I went to a car show and saw a car I’d never even heard of — a Tucker. It was not an original, they said it was a Buick with mods but honestly, it looked like a Batmobile! Weird front end with these little door type things on the roof, over each window. Saw a few really nice cars but didn’t bring my camera.

Got my new desk and shelves up so that project is done finally. One more desk to replace (the one I’m typing on) and then that’s it for remodeling of any type!

Added some really nice pics to the hairy pits blog so you can check those out. The Hairy Space site is coming along with more and more guys signing up, but women are slowly trickling in. Still have some work to do with scripting.

Was supposed to have lunch with my forum friends but it was cancelled, and in some ways I’m glad. See, the others know each other in some way — 2 are friends, the other 2 are friends — so I’m sort of the 5th wheel there. I did run into 3 people tonight at a casual thing and that was cool. One woman’s husband has an awesome goatee!

2 years ago I saw a gorgeous grey and salmon-colored Bel Air. My ex looked it over and said it needed a little work, including body mounts. I called about it and the guy said it needed nothing, but I mentioned the body mounts and he tripped over his tongue. The car disappeared so I thought someone bought it, but it’s back at the same dealership. He has a “Chevelle” for sale for $15k but it’s a clone and not even done right.

This weekend I heard about a Corvair for sale locally, but I don’t really like that car, it’s too small.

Busy busy busy busy

Saturday, May 12th, 2007

Yes, I’ve been extremely busy. Seems that work has picked up but other stuff is going on, too. First, I’m happy to say that today I put up the newest features on Hairy Space and real women who have been voice verified by me will have a special logo on their profile to show they’re real. Hopefully all the so-called women on the site will message me or call me.

My handyman/contractor is coming in this week to take down a desk, put up a new one, and put up shelves in this office. So, beginning tomorrow I need to break down half the office. I won’t disconnect the computer on that desk until the night before, but I need to rewire a lot of stuff so am glad I’ll be able to get behind that desk to do stuff there.

Still haven’t bought a new carb but will be hooking up with someone this week who can probably help. Still no word on those pre-bent gas lines that have bends in the wrong place — supposedly. I’m pretty disgusted at everything that is going on right now and wish Tony’s car guy wasn’t in Alaska, hunting bears (uh, not the animal type, either).

Saw a nice 1969 Firebird in black (my ex would be proud that I can now tell the difference between the bird and the Camaro) as he peeled out in front of me, leaving 2″ of rubber on the ground. Whoopee.

LaKisha is gone from American Idol and I liked her as she was the big girl in the competition. Blake, Jordin and Melinda are left … just 2 weeks left in the season, then it segues and the new season of So You Think You Can Dance begins.

I’m going to a meet and greet this week and am pretty nervous about meeting 7 strangers! It’s being held locally, not far from me, but still .. I’m so shy.

Speaking of meeting people, had a few interesting men contact me this week. One, someone I went to school with supposedly, was interested but lost interest when I said I was a fat chick. Another is still interested and we’re talking, but with distance between us I don’t have high hopes. I don’t seem in a hurry to find anyone. A local guy was interested but once he found out I had hairy armpits, that was it for him.

Updated the Hairy Videos site today and knocked down prices on tons of videos and DVDs, plus updated the inventory. Not many videos left. I used to have about 140 titles but have less than half of that now and am still trying to clear out what’s left. So far I was able to clear out an entire wall of videos so was able to put up all my classic car memorabilia on that wall of shelving. I saw my dream car — 1965 GTO convertible — die-cast car so have to get it soon! The color is black but that’s ok. A few local guys have black GTOs. Not many classic car sightings this week, even with very warm weather. That Firebird that was for sale for nearly $30k near me is gone so I guess someone bought it. I did see a 1965 Mustang parked in a yard for a year or so but this week it’s gone, so someone has a new rust bucket.

YankBird has seemingly gone missing so I guess y’all are stuck with me posting …

Life goes on …

Wednesday, May 9th, 2007

After a bad weekend, it goes on. Let’s see, there is a maybe new guy. He’s almost an hour away and with gas at $3 a gallon, I doubt things will work out, but I don’t want to be overly negative. We want the same things in many areas, and he’s not a hair lover, but says a person is a person, and the hair being there is better than not being there. He’s glad I’m not a “prom queen.”

Saw the most beautiful 1957 Chevy yesterday, maroon and grey, but could not remember how to take pics with my cell phone, so missed the chance! I am meeting up with someone who has an Emberglow 1966 Mustang and am dying to see it in person. I’ve only seen one remotely close to that color as they’re pretty rare. Yes, I’ll bring a real camera!

Saw the 1955 truck of my dreams on eBay and it’s less than $5k, but I’m not getting it. I want to finish up getting my latest on the road before thinking of another project. This truck is painted, almost rust-free, and I’ll kick myself like I did over the Firebird, but I’m going to pass. Speaking of which, a local shop has a 1969 Firebird for sale for $29,900 and having seen it up close, it’s worth 1/3 of that. I could see the rust and bondo myself and I’m not an expert.

Going to work on the Hairy Videos site later today with a massive sale to clean out a few shelves of videos and DVDs. Videos that used to sell for $35 will be slashed as low as $10!!

I hate cars.

Thursday, May 3rd, 2007

Yes, I said it. Right now I hate cars, especially old cars. If ANYONE knows anything about pre-bent gas lines, please email or call me before I go nuts. Mine are 8″ too short apparently … and you can’t lengthen them I guess!

Chris and Phil are off of American Idol but I’m not upset as I didn’t like either very much. All that’s left is Blake, Jordin, Melinda and LaKisha. My money is on Melinda but I really like Blake, too. I never liked Jordin.

Working on the new site and Hairy Space . Found some “hairy” groups on MySpace and of course, one is run by a guy who claims to be female. Sheesh. The other groups are all dead. Guess I need to make my own, huh? Like I need more work?!?!

“Quite frankly, hairy chicks are scary”

Monday, April 23rd, 2007

Yes, this is what my little 23-year old immature friend said to me in email today. It will be the last email between us as things did not end on a good note. It’s ok, he’s just feeling rejected since I won’t have sex with him!

But, it shows you how someone who has never been with a hairy woman can think. He’s the one who told me to shave off all my hair, too. (No, I’m not removing a single hair)

Gorgeous day today, in the low 70’s with a nice strong breeze. Tomorrow it will be the same but less wind. I have a ton of errands to run tomorrow so it won’t be that bad. Of course, I need to enjoy it now, because “Friday: Chance of showers. Highs in the upper 40s and lows in the low 40s”. Figures.

Saw a nice 1966 Mustang today, light blue and appeared to be totally restored and rust free. It was a beauty. I drove into the lot to check it out but it wasn’t for sale and I think it was just having a front end alignment. But wow, it was pretty.

Did you watch the Oscars?

Tuesday, February 27th, 2007

I admit to watching only part of it, because I didn’t see the movies that were nominated. Of course, now I want to see some of those movies.

I saw Hollywoodland this past weekend and it was pretty good. I didn’t know the story of George Reeves so it was new to me, but I won’t tell the plot or ending. The best part was the old cars from the 50’s in the movie!

American Idol is on right now but so far, no one has impressed me. This year the men just don’t seem to be as strong as in past years.

Ok, I take that back — Sundance Head did “Mustang Sally” and did an incredible job with it. If I had to vote someone off, it would be Sanjaya for sure. He’s cute but his voice just isn’t cutting it. I’d vote for Sundance and Chris for sure. Tomorrow night will be the women’s turn to impress me (and you).

Oh yeah, I didn’t mention that I’m not getting the Firebird. It’s somewhat of a long story, but the bottom line was I didn’t have enough photos of it. I had made a commitment to buy it, but fortunately someone else wanted it so there is no issue. He also has a 1967 Firebird convertible for sale at a great price, but my heart has always wanted an Impala or an old pickup truck, so I’ll wait. It’s not like I can appreciate it at this time of year anyway. And it was that awful orange color!!

Hm, did I mention dad went home? I saw him today and he looked pretty good. He’s still very unsteady on his feet and can’t walk much, but his face looks a lot better, and it’s not just the 25 lb weight loss in the past month.

Speaking of fathers, I emailed someone who did work for me a few years ago to ask how he was and see if he could help with something. I mentioned last time I spoke to him he’d just lost his house in a fire along with his computer and all his work, etc, and hoped things were better. He writes back to tell me his father died this morning. I have timing, huh?

Quiet, cold weekend

Saturday, February 10th, 2007

Still cold here. It’s been under 30 all week with 30+ winds, making it almost zero. I’m pretty sick of it, but it’s better than a huge snowstorm.

Came home early and wanted to watch The Breakup. This DVD wasn’t defective but honestly, I found the movie pretty stupid. They said it was a date movie but I found it boring, and the ending was just stupid. Has anyone else seen it?

Nothing from my new guy today, not sure if he had to work all day or is just busy. Don’t know a whole lot about him yet, but so far he has my interest. Earlier today I received an email from an old friend from a dating site, someone I haven’t talked to in well over a year. While at the site, I decided to look around and see who locally had placed an ad. Wow. Years ago there were maybe 100 guys with photos but today I must have looked at 500 or more photos. I recognized a few guys including one who works at my local supermarket. I ignore the nude shots and just look at the face photos, but saw an incredible amount of photos of the type of guy who turns ME on. 20’s, long hair, goatee, ballcap and an evil glint in their eyes. Holy hell there were so many of them! Most, of course, just bragged about their so-called sexual prowess, or wanted a thin woman or just wanted some meaningless sexual hookup. I laughed at most!

Have y’all ever tried tilapia? I hadn’t, but one day on the phone Eddie mentioned it (call me, dammit Eddie!) and my local fish market had it on sale this week, so I decided to try it and bought one piece. I stuck it in the toaster oven and it was good. I’m used to haddock, which is a very soft fish. Tilapia is much firmer and had a different taste, but I liked it, so I bought more. Tonight I used an online recipe I adapted, and took panko (Japanese bread crumbs) and put them in the small food processor with some Scrumbs and coated it, then put it on top of the stove, something I can now do since I still haven’t replaced the smoke detectors!

Let me tell you, 3-4 minutes on each side, in peanut oil, on a medium/high heat made an absolutely delicious piece of fish. It doesn’t taste fishy at all and is very firm, so won’t fall apart if you pan fry it. I’m making it again tomorrow night. I used some panko that had coconut in it, something I bought at the Whole Foods Market when I was up in Providence. Now I need to go visit and buy more!

Put up another site today, this one for Jewish singles. Don’t yell at me Summer, since all these sites won’t need any maintenance once they’re up, I swear!!

Got some more information on my Firebird today. It’s a done deal, now I just have to get it shipped here and find a place for it. I know there is a guy one town over who rents out garage space for the winter but am not sure if he has year-round classic car storage, so I’ll call tomorrow. Of course, I could flip this and make $5-$8k easily as the price is very, very cheap, but the guy I bought it from needs quick cash to pay for a Mustang he just bought.

Playing Catch Up

Tuesday, February 6th, 2007

Yep, that’s what I’m doing today, catching up on so many things. First, my “romance” is over before it got off the ground. He had absolutely no technical know-how and even getting an email from him was a major thing. We’re looking for different things, too. But, someone who isn’t into computers isn’t for me. My last few relationships were with guys with no technical knowledge. One could not even use a mouse correctly, and then there was the guy who decided he’d use the computer at an office where he was doing a job, and he got porn on the computer somehow but then could not figure out how to shut it down or get rid of it. He called me in a panic!

Dad is still hospitalized and they still have not isolated the source of the internal bleeding. He was supposed to have some test today but it didn’t happen, so maybe tomorrow.

Did a lot of work today including launching my poster store and my weight loss site. The latter still needs a tiny bit of tweaking but that’s for tomorrow.

Watching American Idol right now but so far it’s just boring with a lot of bad talent.

Ok, so, here is the car I’ll probably be purchasing, and you can click on it to see the full-sized version. I’ll be talking to my Pontiac guy tomorrow to see if it’s the right purchase for me, but it looks almost positive that it will be mine. My only issue is where to put it — 3 cars so far! This 4th would have to be garaged but it’s pretty hard to find a decent garage space for a reasonable price. Oh yeah, this would be a birthday gift for me. Another year older today, doo dah doo dah. Very uneventful, just another day, but I’m sure in a bit it will hit me pretty hard.

SNOW!!

Tuesday, January 30th, 2007

Yep, it’s snowing, but they say just 2″-4″ but it will be nice to see some snow for a change.

It was only 26 today but I saw 3 classic cars on the road. I could not believe it, since there is already some snow salt down, meaning you NEVER take a classic on the road. One was a Nova, probably ‘73, another one of those SS cars I can never distinguish, and the other a similiar one. The first SS was deep blue with black stripes and definitely fully restored with probably a 440 under the hood. Damn, it sounded good. Made me think of my newest acquisition which I can’t wait to get on the road! Still waiting for more pics of the Hurst GTO which is in storage.

Watching American Idol right now but I tell you, I hate these audition shows as they are full of talentless people who bore me. I actually prefer when they have the top 12 as it’s much more serious and enjoyable. I’m working while it’s on but when the top 12 shows start, I don’t work during them!

Went to Macy’s today to buy something and the clerk who waited on me had a very distinguishable mustache, which surprised me as they generally hire “perfect” looking women. Oh yeah, she was cute and thin but definitely had a fuzzy lip.

DAMN it’s so cold

Thursday, January 18th, 2007

10 degrees last night! About 30 today with a cold, biting wind. I had to do the thing I hate most in life — go to the registry of motor vehicles. UGH. Registering an older car is so much more difficult as they question every line on your application and stare at you as if you’re trying to steal the Hope diamond. I did get it all done, though, and now need to find a year of manufacture plate.

No word from the court but I don’t expect to hear until at least Saturday.

Couple of new guys … seriously. Well, ok, one. One is married so he’s a no go. The other one is very local and seems like a nice guy, though I didn’t like his bragging about his oral sex prowess. Me and all my girlfriends readily admit that we’ve not had luck in that department. I just want to find a guy who not only will do the alphabet but who does it because he wants to and doesn’t make me ask. So, we’ll see. He’s insisting I call him after 1 email and that is a big no-no with me. Honestly, I’m not even sure I want a relationship. If I were smart I’d go for the married guy and just get some when I need it and not have to deal with the relationship bullshit.

Did you watch the first 2 nights of American Idol? I watched it last night but wish they’d have shown more talented people and not just the really bad singers. The first night was the day I went to court and I was so stressed over it, I crashed. Literally. Went to watch American Idol and began to watch it, then I looked up and it was 9:15. I fell asleep! So, I shut the television, didn’t even shut off the 3 computer monitors and just went to sleep.

How’s your weekend going?

Sunday, January 14th, 2007

Mine has been so-so. Just got off the phone, again, with a guy in California who wants me to buy his 1967 Hurst GTO, numbers matching, totally restored, for less than half of what it’s worth. He’s going through a divorce and needs the cash. Talked to him a few times this weekend — he’s sending me the crossmember I need since I can’t find the damned thing! Waiting for more pics of the car but it’s gorgeous — black exterior, red interior.

Updated a lot of websites this weekend and am still not done. Let’s see, I updated All Hairy Movies, put up a new page at Hairy Women Online (no, it’s not a new site, I had other plans for it but this will suffice), Pam’s Reviews, Watches Blog and am about to do some more work. My fetish site is redone but waiting for DNS to propagate.

Didn’t get to watch any movies this weekend, ysterday I was busy with work, talked to my Hurst GTO guy, then mom called from her hairdresser and needed help as “the green lights inside the car won’t stop flashing” and she was panicking. I went over and simply hit the hazard light button *sigh* but since I was out, grabbed an iced coffee and a small hot an sour soup for lunch.

Spent time today getting ready for court as this is the week I take my sink/counter guys to court. I have all the photos for documentation and proof. My printer ran out of ink but I can always run to the local pharmacy with a card and print more if needed. I have all the paperwork, copies of proof of everything, so while I don’t want to feel overconfident, I should win. They were wrong, it’s that simple.

Pretty cold out tonight and you know it’s winter. Ah well, the warm weather did last a long time so I shouldn’t complain.

Off to finish updating some more sites.

Muscle Car Heaven

Saturday, December 23rd, 2006

If you have a spare $1.5 million bucks, you can buy this property with at least 200 classic muscle cars, many rare and one-of-a-kind types. Just looking at these images — dialups will never load it — breaks my heart.

Busy day today

Tuesday, November 28th, 2006

First, I managed to move 2 of my websites, one being the hairy video blog. I had to manually move it over and lost my awesome design — for now — but should get it back somehow. If the pages act funky, give it 24/48 hours for DNS to propagate and all should work fine. Also moved a mainstream site I have. I’m disgusted with my host who isn’t being a good host. This site will move soon, but it will take a lot longer than a day to move it as I have almost 3 years of posts to transfer over and much of it has to be done by hand.

I have the cutest little thingie on my desk in front of me - a Dunkin’ Donuts Christmas ornament! It’s an exact replica of a cup of Dunkin’ Donuts coffee, about 5″ high, and is made of very hard plastic so it pretty hefty, probably weighs about 3 ounces. I use it as a paperweight and love it!

Tooth is still a little iffy … the penicillin has fully taken effect but I need to keep taking it, of course. Thursday morning I get it taken care of, but realized they first have to remove the 25 year old filling, so this won’t be much fun. At least I’m out of that deep pain and I’m not sleeping 24 hours a day. I still can’t bite into anything straight on so am being careful what I eat. I can’t wear my rings anymore as they fall off of me, so I guess I lost some weight by not eating any food all weekend.

Saw a clerk at Dunkin’ Donuts today who had incredibly hairy forearms. She was young, probably 21 or 22, with average brows, but when she took my money, I noticed how furry her forearms were. Usually I go to the drive-through and chat with the guy there who knows me very well by now! Today I went in and I think I will every so often to see if she keeps them nice and furry.

Got great news today. Mom had another mammogram, you may remember a year ago she had one, they found irregularities and calcification so she had to go back 6 months later for another one, and during that one they said she would have to go again in 6 months because it could go either way. I was pretty damned nervous but all came out fine. 2 bouts of breast cancer is scary but having more surgery at her age would not be a good thing. If she got sick I don’t know who would take care of my father, who has been going downhill lately.

Tough to get old.

Someone offered to sell me his 1968 GTO today, no price given, just that it’s “totally cherried out” which to me means $50k! Yeah, no thanks. He also has a 1968 Mustang Boss for sale. I told him if he has a car that’s rust-free for a few hundred bucks to give me a call lol.

Ok, off to go figure out how I’m going to move this blog to a new server without pulling out (or off) all of my hair.

A little better today

Sunday, November 26th, 2006

Yesterday I did nothing but sleep. The codeine really knocks me out, and after I woke up and took it I took a nap and just kept napping all day. Up every few hours, took meds, then back to sleep. Didn’t try to have food until dinner and tried to make soup. Unfortunately I was really woozy and not paying a lot of attention, and noticed the can of soup was rather thick. I figured it was just old. I heated it up in the microwave and then stirred it, and noticed it was very thick, and then realized that it was condensed soup. Hell, I didn’t even realize they still made it that way. I did add water and renuke it but decided that was enough activity for the day and slept until 8:30 am today. Got up during the night to take meds and check my temp and am still running a 99.6 fever. Whatever infection is in there is one hell of a good one. I’m hoping that the dentist can do something tomorrow and not send me to my regular dentist who will look and THEN schedule something. I want this pain gone now.

So, I didn’t do any work yesterday and am catching up today, though I plan to take a nap in a few minutes.

Decided against the Chevy Nova since I don’t want to have to do the brake and steering changeover, plus other things. The price was low but I don’t want a project car.

Ready for the holiday?

Tuesday, November 21st, 2006

Judging from what I saw in the stores today, everyone is ready since everyone and their relatives was in the stores today! Damn, traffic was bad, too.

Did just a few errands but could not wait to get home to work. Got a lot done today. Finished my newest sites and you can go visit Colene In Boston, Heavenly Hirsute Laurel, Hairy Mazzy and Hairy Ember. I still need to find and scan some more images of each model and post them, but for now I’m happy with each site.

I thought I’d be able to relax for the holiday but damn, I have so much work to do. I’m doing too much and I know it but it’s always like this when I develop sites. Once they’re done I can relax. Found one site I had that had a ton of broken non-existant links so just put up a full-page ad for now … easier than staying up half the night fixing things.

Saw a really nice black GTO a local guy is selling at a really low price. Body is in excellent shape, inside is beautiful, but gee, the engine seized and needs to be overhauled. No thanks. Also saw a gorgeous cranberry Mustang, looked to be ‘65 or ‘66, but I was driving by in a hurry so didn’t get time to check it out.

So, what are your plans for the holiday? Obviously I plan to stay home and work. I do want to watch “Over The Hedge” if I can. I bought some turkey breast (low salt) for lunch - hey, it’s turkey! I don’t go to the folks’ house for personal reasons, but mom is not well enough to cook a huge meal plus dad is very sick again and may be hospitalized by tomorrow. I just hope I can sleep past 6 am and get a little bit of rest.

Carrie, the movie

Wednesday, November 15th, 2006

Did a major project today, nearly 5 hours of work to finish it, but I am proud I did it. I had to compile and create a list of all my sites/domains, list the host, registrar and status of the site. I found a bunch I didn’t know I had and a bunch I had dropped and didn’t know I dropped. For those of you who need a spreadsheet program but don’t want to purchase one, I found a free one here from Google. You can use it for documents, too. What’s amazing is you can load a spreadsheet on it, then 2 or more can log in and edit it at the same time to work together. No cost and it was simple to use. Google has so many free tools available that truly help you out.

Of course, now I have several domains I need to do something with! One new site coming up soon. My designer did his part and I had installed the script during the week, so tonight (during Carrie) I was tweaking things. Tomorrow and over the next few days I’ll work on the content and hopefully launch the site next weekend. Just remembered Monday is a holiday here and don’t have plans other than my housekeeper coming in, so I can work hard on it.

I want to go look at a vehicle on Monday and if all goes as planned, I’ll be a Chevy gal. I know nothing about Chevys, trust me, but I have a feeling I may have to learn a lot. The vehicle is pretty cheap so my hopes aren’t too high. It has no rust but needs paint and a lot of cosmetic work.

Surprised I had no comments on the beach photos — you don’t have to register to post any more, ya know. For now that’s disabled unless the spam bots decide to hit me again.

It’s after 10 so I guess it’s time to fill up the humidifier, grab a good book, and hit the bed for 7 hours of blissful sleep!

Hairy?

Thursday, November 9th, 2006

I woke up and was reading a forum where someone had a headline about “hairy pussy” so I assumed it was a cat picture, but no, it was a woman who did not shave. She is not “hairy” but is unshaved. I read all the comments about how gross and disgusting she was, then saw this and burst out laughing, because it’s SO true!!

“The funny part is that every one of the limp dick Twinky eaters saying EWWW and GROSS in this thread would hit that pussy in a fucking minute. I’d fucking eat that shit all day long. You fuckers make me laugh. The same people saying that is gross are same morons that sit home alone on Friday and/or Saturday night and post on this forum about what a “COOL” social life they have and all of their “BLING”.”

Not so gross and not that hairy, huh? So many of them brag about this or that, and jump in with their “ewww” comments but you know if they had the chance they’d be all over her, then brag to their friends, too!!!

Cold rainy morning, kind of raw. Need to get my hair trimmed this morning so have to go out in the rain. I was thinking of a car wash anyway so guess I’ll let nature wash my SUV!

Saw Overhaulin’ the other night and they did a truck owned by Drew Lachey, brother of Nick Lachey. He’s the guy who won the Dancing With The Stars competition last year. Anyway, he bought a 1972 Ford F100 truck and they planning to trick it out and surprise him. He paid $250 for it. I was dying because why can’t *I* find a truck of that vintage for that price!!!! Everything I look at is $20k. Chip Foose did a great job in restoring it and making it an incredible car. It was funny to see Drew drop to his belly to look underneath right away — you can tell he’s a car guy!

Not-So-Blah Sunday

Sunday, November 5th, 2006

So, I’m here working while the tech is in the cellar. Yeah, the oil burner tech *sigh* My heat is set at 66 as usual, but since they “fixed” it the other day it’s been reading 71-72. Of course, they say that’s normal to have a 4-6 degree differential. Maybe for their house, but not for mine if it’s 40 degrees out. If it’s set at 66, it reads 66, plain and simple. So, I went down this morning to check the oil burner and was down for about 10 minutes and it went on and off 4 times. Ok, something is very wrong, so I called and got some snotty chick who obviously resented having to work on a Sunday. Took several hours for them to get to me, but I guess I’m lucky I had heat as opposed to those who don’t. He’s replacing some box of some sort, I don’t even want to know. Just give me the damned bill and cool my house off, because 72 degrees is good if you’re 72 years old. At my age it’s HOT.

I actually have now shut off the heat as it reads 75. The box they were going to use to replace mine was defective so they’ll be back tomorrow. I’m sitting here just about naked; it’s that hot.

Talked to Eddie finally and he gave me some good advice in helping my father with his computer so tomorrow morning I’ll go over and pray this will fix things. Oh yeah, I love you Eddie!

Happy Birthday, Summer! Hope you get some special lovin’ tonight!

Servers are working fine, so am less stressed and work is clearing out. Server that was totally dead (load average: 0.96, 1.09, 1.31) is now working fine and dandy. Server that died yesterday has been fine (load average: 0.20, 0.25, 0.26) but it took a few phone calls and one supervisor to get it fixed. Server where I plan to move a lot of sites (load averages: 0.00, 0.00, 0.00) is obviously fine plus their tech support really, REALLY rocks. Other 2 servers are fine but I’m going to move sites from there as well. Things just need to calm down a little more.

Oh, here is a link for a 14 year old who should not drive a Shelby
