Beautiful day

This weather is just incredible. It was such a beautiful day. I had to go away for a bit today and while it was uneventful, the worst part was driving on Route 88. If you’ve ever been to Westport Mass, you know what I mean. 10-15 miles of the most boring highway in the world. It’s a one-lane highway with nothing but bare trees on the side of the road. Every few miles there is a red light so you have to go from 55 (no 65 mph here) MPH to zero to stop at the light. This town is called the Hamptons of Massachusetts, it’s a very affluent old farm town. No fast food restaurants or coffee shops. The highway has no rest area, no phones, you just drive and drive and drive until you want to fall asleep. I had the radio cranked loudly and was singing loudly to stay awake! I have to go back there next week after my dermatologist appointment, too.
The best part about going there is driving up on the old farm roads as you see a ton of older classic cars. People there just put old cars in the backyard, or front yard, and leave them there for 30 years. I saw an old Javelin today, a nice 55 Chevy and some awesome old trucks.
There is this one house and I wish I had pictures to show you as you’d never believe it. It looks like it hasn’t been touched in 50 years. There are some windows missing and plastic in its place. No working toilet so they have an actual outhouse. The shutters are off the house, there is so much garbage and old trash on the front area (can’t call it a lawn), the trees and bushes are overgrown and it’s just a mess. It boggles my mind that people live like this in 2006.
I may have a huge announcement about one of my websites soon … keep your fingers crossed for me!
If someone invented a leash for cell phones I think they’d make a fortune. Last weekend I didn’t leave it in my car, I remembered to put it in my pocket, but could not find it at all. Monday morning I found it on my garage floor. Twice this week I left it in my car overnight. Last night I brought it in and plugged it in to recharge but during the night heard these weird noises coming from the phone. I guess I didn’t plug it all the way in … and it was dead. I hate that phone, I swear
